Shipt's Services and Order Card Labels

Shipt offers a variety of services across the nation. As you begin reviewing orders, you’ll notice a variety of labels on each order card. These indicate important details that will determine the steps you’ll take to complete the order.

Review the information below to understand what each label means and how you can utilize them to know how to prepare and what to expect for each type of order.

Services:

Shop & Deliver Orders

  • A Shipt member places an order through the Shipt app or website and selects a timeframe for the order to be delivered to them
  • A shopper with Shipt goes to the store, shops for the requested items, pays for the order during checkout, and then delivers the items to the member during the designated delivery window
  • Shoppers can complete Shop & Deliver orders with a virtual or a physical card. For more information on virtual pay, click here
  • Shop & Deliver orders do not have a service label like other services

Prepaid Orders

  • Prepaid orders are a variation of Shop & Deliver orders, where a customer (who does not have to be a Shipt member) places a same-day delivery order through a retailer's website and selects a timeframe for their order to be delivered
  • A shopper with Shipt goes to the specified store, shops for the requested items, completes an in-store audit to complete checkout, and then delivers the items to the customer during the designated delivery window
  • A Prepaid label will display on the order card.

Delivery Only Orders

  • A customer, who does not have to be a Shipt member, places an order through a store's website or app and selects a timeframe for the order to be delivered to them
  • A shopper with Shipt receives the order's items from the store and delivers it to the customer who placed the order during the designated delivery window
  • A Delivery Only label will display on the order card.
  • Delivery Only FAQ


Shop Only Orders

  • A Shipt member places an order through the Shipt app or website and selects a timeframe that they can pick up the order at the store
  • A shopper with Shipt goes to the store to shop the member's order
  • The member arrives at the store during the designated pickup window to receive their order
  • A Shop Only label will display on the order card.
  • Shop Only FAQ



Order Variations:
The following are additional labels that may also display and indicate variations for an order, such as if the order contains alcohol and requires an ID to be scanned at delivery.

Drop-Off Orders:

  • The order is to be dropped off outside of the member's door instead of handed off to them face-to-face
    *Note: You may choose to send a photo of the order outside the customer's door for proof of delivery. Delivery Only orders will automatically ask shoppers to submit proof of delivery in the app.
  • A Drop-Off label will display on the order card.

Early Ok Orders: 

  • The order can be delivered anytime between when the designated store opens to the general public and the end of the order's delivery window
  • An Early Ok label will display on the order card.

Promo Orders: 

  • Promo pay has been added to the order
  • Promo orders are generally orders approaching their delivery window but have not been claimed. Shoppers will receive automatic late forgiveness up to 30 minutes past the delivery window for promo orders. 
  • A Promo label will display on the order card.

Alcohol Delivery Orders: 

  • The order contains alcohol and will require an ID to be scanned at the time of delivery
    *Note: Only certified shoppers will be offered Alcohol Delivery orders
  • An ID Scan label will display on the order card.

Bundles

  • This is two or more orders that have been paired by Shipt based on various factors.
  • A label displaying the number of orders included in the bundle will display on the order offer card.
  • Bundles will be offered together with one offer card but will separate into individual order cards post-claim.
