What are Shop Only orders?

Members in select metros have access to Shipt Pickup services when placing an order through the Shipt app or website. Shipt Pickup orders for members are referred to Shop Only orders for shoppers. 

For a Shop Only order, shoppers do not deliver items to the member. Instead, the member will pick up the order from the shopper at the store.

Orders will display a yellow Shop Only label on the order offer card.



How can I receive Shop Only offers?

To claim Shop Only orders, it must be available in your metro and you must be Shop Only certified.

What time do I need to arrive at the store to shop for a Shop Only order? 

For Shop Only orders, a best practice is to arrive at the store at least an hour before the order is due for pickup. It is especially important to complete Shop Only orders on time so the order will be ready by the time the member arrives for pickup.



How will I know when a member has arrived for pick up?

Members receive a notification letting them know to text their shopper, where to pick up their groceries, and to contact HQ if there are any issues.

After you have messaged the member to confirm their estimated time of pickup, the member should text you upon their arrival.



What do I do once the member arrives to pick up their order?

When the member contacts you and says they have arrived at the store, you may deliver the groceries to the member’s car in the designated parking area.

There will be signage in the parking lot and members will follow the signs to the designated parking area. Before your first Shop Only order, be sure to find the pickup area so you know where to deliver the orders.

Once all the groceries have been loaded into the member’s car, select Mark Order as Delivered on the order home screen to finish the order.



What should I do with the receipt?

Do not give the receipt to the member—They will receive a digital copy of their receipt from Shipt as soon as you mark the order as delivered.  To find more receipt tips, click here. 



What do I do if the member has an issue with an item in the order? 

If there is an issue with an order, you may politely apologize for the inconvenience, and offer to call Shipt HQ for the member.



What should I do with orders that aren’t picked up?

If you are past the pickup window and the member doesn’t respond to texts and a phone call, reach out to Shipt HQ for further instructions.



Is alcohol available through Shop Only?

Yes, alcohol is available through Shop Only if alcohol delivery is also available in your metro. Click here to find out what metros and retailers are eligible.
