Shopping in Colorado FAQ

Shoppers in Colorado will have a unique order offering experience, compared to other states, to comply with state legislation.

In order to receive offers for orders shoppers should:

  • Use the Schedule page in the app to select the zones, days, and delivery windows that you’d like to shop. To maximize your offers, select as many zones and times that work for you.
  • Shoppers will need to place themselves on the schedule in order to receive offers.
  • Once your schedule is set, head on over to the Available orders page in the app to review and claim available offers.
  • In Colorado, every shopper is given 60 seconds of exclusivity to review and claim an offer. This 60 seconds begins as soon as you receive the offer notification, so experienced shoppers recommend reviewing your order offers as soon as possible.

Order Offers

When you receive an offer notification, you’ll have 60 seconds of exclusivity to review and claim the offer.

The offer card will show you:

  • The retailer and order type.
  • The delivery window.
  • The delivery zone.
  • The retailer location.

Tap the location icon to view more information about the location details including:

  • Estimated drive time to the retailer based on your current location.
  • The total number of delivery stops and total estimated time to shop and deliver the order.
  • A map showing the the delivery route.

Payment History

Once your order has been delivered, check your Payment history to review a breakdown of total pay, including finalized tips, total time, and total mileage from the time you Swipe head to store until marking the order Delivered.*

  • If an order is canceled before you Swipe to head to store you’ll see no time, mileage, or pay.
  • If an order is canceled before you have started shopping, you will not be paid for that order. If you’ve already swiped to head to store in the app and started driving to the retailer when an order is canceled, you may see time and mileage to account for your drive, but no pay amount.
  • If an order is canceled while or after you’re shopping, you’ll receive a percentage of the original offer payment.

You’ll receive a monthly breakdown of your total mileage via email at the end of every month.* To help improve mileage accuracy, switch location sharing permissions to “always on” and avoid force closing your app while shopping. For more information about location sharing, click here.

*Note: Keep in mind that total miles and time are calculated to the best of Shipt’s ability and encompass all time and distance traveled starting from the moment when you Swipe to head to store until the moment you mark the order as Delivered. This may include time and mileage spent driving for other gig companies if you’re completing work on multiple apps at once, and any stops, breaks, personal errands, or other deviation from the order. Separate orders completed simultaneously may have time and mileage that overlap, but they’ll be listed separately in your Payment history. This does not serve as tax advice.

FAQs

How will offers be determined in Colorado?

  • Orders will still be offered based on several factors including but not limited to shopper stats, preferred connections, and current schedule.

What is offer exclusivity?

  • Offer exclusivity means that when you are offered an order, you will be the only shopper able to see it for 60 seconds. Where can I view my exclusive offers?

  • Offers in their exclusivity period will be listed under Exclusive to you on the Available orders screen in the app. If you receive an exclusive offer and do not claim it, you may be re-offered the order without exclusivity.
