Can I leave an order on the customer's doorstep?

Yes, all orders delivered with Shipt are door drop-offs unless the order has a Hand-off label.*
*Note: Orders containing alcohol cannot be drop-off orders and will have an ID Scan label. These should always be delivered directly to the customer so that shoppers can verify a valid ID and collect the customer's digital signature.

Top shoppers recommend checking the Order Notes section of the Order Details screen for a specific drop-off location and other delivery instructions. If there are no notes, shoppers may leave the order at the front door of the delivery location, placing bags carefully and safely in a place where they do not obstruct the doorway.

After placing the bags at the drop-off location and submitting a photo in the app for proof of delivery, you may send the customer a message informing them their order has been successfully dropped off.
