Earn extra funds for savings goals, retirement, and more with Stride Save

*Note: This test is only available to eligible shoppers in Utah between April and December 2024.

We know that the flexibility to choose when and where to work is important to you as a shopper with Shipt. However, unexpected life events can be hard to plan for, and we’ve heard from you that you’d like more opportunities to consistently save for things like benefits, retirement, or an emergency fund.

The Benefits Savings Program* with Stride Save gives Utah shoppers the opportunity to earn extra funds, create savings goals, get a virtual debit card for online payments, and more.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Qualify for the program by earning at least $750 before tips on Utah-based orders during one of the below qualification windows.
  2. Set up your Stride Save account. If you qualify, we’ll send you an email at the end of the qualification window that invites you to apply for an account.
  3. Get contributions equal to 4% of your pre-tip earnings (up to $300) deposited into your account two weeks after the end of each qualification window. Just remember: If you don’t create your account within 30 days of the end of the qualification window, you’ll lose your contribution.

The 2024 qualification windows for this test are:

  • 4/1/24 - 6/30/24
  • 7/1/24 - 9/30/24
  • 10/1/24 - 12/31/24

In addition to earning extra funds from Shipt, you can also use your Stride Save account to:

  • Connect your other accounts to make your own deposits or withdrawals with ease — no account minimums.
  • Earn 3.66% interest** on deposits.
  • Get a virtual debit card for hassle-free, secure online payments.
  • Create custom savings goals.

At the end of each qualification window, eligible shoppers will receive an invitation from Stride to set up their savings account if they don’t already have an active one. Shipt’s contribution will be added to eligible shoppers’ accounts 2 weeks after the end of each qualification window.

Shoppers who do not create their Stride Save account and sign up to receive funds within 30 days after the end of the qualifying period will forfeit Shipt’s contribution funds.

When will benefits savings be available in other metros?

  • Last year, Utah policymakers passed a law that helps protect flexibility for app-based workers while allowing companies to offer additional contributions to help fund workers’ benefits of their choice. Shipt supports models that allow us to bolster financial security for shoppers while preserving the flexibility they value most.
  • We hope to expand this option to other metros as similar legislation passes across the states. You can read more about our support for portable benefits in the Shipt Newsroom.
