Costco Certification FAQ

Can any approved Shipt Shopper shop at Costco?

Costco Delivery is only offered in certain markets, and only certified shoppers are eligible to shop at Costco.

If you are interested in shopping at Costco in a metro where Costco Delivery is available, please complete the applicable form below based on your metro to add yourself to our Costco waitlist.*
*Note: This is only an indication of your interest in being certified. Should you be chosen to move forward in the process, you will receive an email with further details. Unfortunately, we cannot provide an estimated timeframe for moving forward in this process as adding new certified shoppers is based on current Costco order volume needs.

Is membership required to shop Costco orders?

Certified shoppers will be provided with a Shipt Costco membership card which should always be used at checkout.

Note: Shipt-owned Costco memberships may be used by shoppers for personal shopping, but personal orders are not eligible for tax exemption. Personal membership cards should not be used for Shipt orders.



What are the requirements for keeping my Costco certification?

To maintain a Costco certification, shoppers should:

  • Complete at least 12 non-promo Costco shops per month

  • Maintain a rating of 4.8 or higher
